Computer Vision Programmer

IRIS Research & Development is pushing the boundaries between technology and public infrastructure by leveraging AI, IoT, Computer Vision and Deep Learning.

We are seeking new members for our R&D team who are passionate about exploring new technologies for the development of next generation products. We are looking for team members who can quickly learn new technologies and help us architect and RAPIDLY develop scalable and secure solutions with the potential to positively impact smart cities and help create resilient communities.

Qualifications

  • MS / PhD specializing in Computer Vision or Bachelors with equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years experience designing, implementing and tuning computer vision algorithms

  • Experience with two or more of the following: C, C++, Python

  • Experience with at least one of the accelerated computing languages: CUDA, OpenCL, and OpenGL is considered an asset

  • Experience with two or more mathematical libraries and frameworks like Octave, Matlab, OpenCV, and Eigen is considered an asset

  • GIS mapping, Spatial Analysis

  • Experience in Data Science and Data Analytics

  • Knowledge around data protection especially data encryption and data storage standards


Community Engagement Liaison

IRIS Research & Development is pushing the boundaries between technology and public infrastructure by leveraging AI, IoT, Computer Vision and Deep Learning.

Using a systemic approach, the Communications and Community Liaison Officer must develop and implement a communications, public relations and community engagement strategy for IRIS with the goal of fostering an innovative and collaborative relationship with community stakeholders. The successful candidate will work with IRIS management, staff and partners to integrate innovative communication strategies with the strategic planning process as well as development of services. The incumbent will ensure that any technology and services offered by IRIS is in full compliance of local and provincial legislation and by-laws. The incumbent will be responsible for the facilitation of social network initiatives and community engagement activities, event coordination, and act as media liaison as required.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in project management and event coordination

  • Ability to communicate in both French and English

  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Operating Systems

  • Good knowledge of Canadian municipalities and communities;

  • Knowledge of Canadian Smart Cities & Privacy Regulations would be an asset.
